Packing Instructions
If you are shipping an Oboe or English Horn to Carlos Coelho for repair, appraisal, or consignment sale, please follow these simple instructions to prevent damage during transit.
Pack any instrument to be shipped very carefully.
Ship your instrument in its case, and please ensure that individual parts are securely seated in their pockets.
Be sure to include a completed copy of our instrument repair form – contact us for details.
Oboes: Use box size 16″ x 10″ x 8″.
English Horn Double Case: Use box size 24″ x 14″ x 8″.
Surround the case on all sides with styrofoam packing peanuts, filling the box completely. There is no need to use bubble wrap or extra tape for your instrument’s case.
Please seal the box carefully and securely, using packing tape only.
Please be sure to cover or remove any old shipping labels on the box.
To ensure the safe delivery of your instrument, we request that you use UPS or FedEx and follow our packing instructions above.
